Eating Again!
Britten probably had his best night sleep last night, but the morning was a bit rough. He struggled through physical therapy dealing with his pain and nausea. It was a pretty emotion day for Britt as what eye site he had, has started to diminish. It is very scary and frustrating to him and we're hoping to talk to a Doctor about it tomorrow. His afternoon session of PT was awesome. He walked down 2 long halls, out of the hospital and onto the patio. The fresh air felt so wonderful but we we're in the cool shade. So the PT had him walk out of the patio area, up a sidewalk and into the nice, warm sun. It was definitely a moment to enjoy! I told you that Britt was upgraded to a general diet meaning, He can eat Anything! No more puréed foods. He had a great supper along with half of moms sandwhich. Britt enjoyed a visit from a fun-loving Aunt that brought him a Rootbeer! He thought that was so awesome! Then she gave him a great foot massage while he sat and ate a "Frosty" that his Dad brought. It was so wonderful to see him eat again! It was a up and down day, but where glad to end it looking up. May we all "look up" as we count our many blessings, and give thanks to our loving Heavenly Father. All our love, Steven and Karla

That was so awesome to read of Britt's venture out into the sunlight. After being inside for so long that must have been a wonderful and refreshing experience. I'll bet the frosty was great too!
ReplyDeleteWith all that I have gone through recently, and now facing my big cancer surgery this coming Monday, I suppose in some small way I have been identifying with Britt's struggles. But, each day as I read of Britt's tenacity and strength it has helped to give me courage. If he can do it, so can I. You're my hero Britt! I have also appreciated your comments about the tender mercies of our Heavenly Father. I too have felt them many times. I know He lives and loves us and will strengthen us as we turn to Him.
I love you all and will continue my prayers for you.
Love Aunt Laura Schenk
Wow! He has come so far to now be eating all solid foods! How wonderful. It was good to talk to Logan and Lora this week and hear about their visit with him. Your family continues to be in our prayers!

Familia Jave.
Cajamarca - Perú.
Familia Jave...
